Gerry Stark

I had the pleasure of working with Gerry Stark throughout the purchase of my wife and I's first home. Gerry was responsive and helpful. If he didn't have an answer for me he would look into it and get back to me in a timely fashion. At no point did I feel like I wasn't a priority. I can't recommend them enough.

In two three distinct phases, Gerry and Jill Stark achieved angel status in our family. Phase 1: My 83-year-old mother decided to sell her home in NH, and (being a NY-based professor) I could not take leave to walk her through the process. After thorough research, we identified the Starks as highly trustworthy agents who would treat my mother kindly and ethically--above all, listening to her and asking the right questions. Through patience and hard work, they got my mom's home on the market for the right price and soon found a buyer. 2. The first buyer turned out to be a less-than-ideal fit, making requests that would've cost my mom money, time and mental energy. The Starks wisely advised that we put the home back on the market while it was still hot; we did, and quickly found the right buyer at a terrific price. 3. For months, my mom refused the family's offers to help pack, stating that she and her handyman "had everything under control," and we "would only be in the way and slow things down." Yet when I arrived the day before she was scheduled to close, planning to take her out for a nice dinner, go to sleep, sign in the morning and drive her "and maybe a few clothes" back to New York, I found a garage, home and attic still fully furnished and packed with items. I stayed up all night, boxing and moving, yet the house was still in disarray by the buyer's 9am walk-through. They were (understandably) ready to back out. Here's where the Starks' *angel* action really began: not only did Gerry and Jill Stark negotiate a second, afternoon walk-through and keep the sale on track; they also canceled their own plans for the day, rolled up their sleeves and helped pack up the house, driving me to the U-Haul facility when it was time for me to pick up a 15-foot cargo truck. This took the entire day, into the evening--it was far beyond what even close friends should be asked to do, leaving everyone sore and exhausted--yet they went even further, helping my mother by taking boxes and boxes of confidential documents (containing information such as her SSN) to be shredded and recycled! Without Gerry and Jill Stark, our family's angels, this sale and move would not have happened. Our family would recommend them to anybody, without reservation. Their business card headshots may not show it, but we are 100% certain these kind professionals are are both wearing halos.

Gerry was our realtor when buying our first home. He took the time to help us understand the process and was attentive to our needs in a home. All folks at RE/MAX were professionals that always had smiles on their faces. If you're looking to purchase a home look no further than this group! They will treat you well!

Gerry guided us through the process of buying our home in 2018. Working with Gerry was a pleasure. He took the time to show us a number of houses he found for us based on our needs and was extremely knowledgeable. When we found the house we wanted Gerry made the whole process simple, and ensured everything stayed on track from the initial offer to closing. He did a great job keeping everything moving along smoothly, and was instrumental in coordinating everything between the home inspector, assessor, mortgage broker, the seller, Town, and others. Gerry and his team are the only way to go for anything real estate related in the upper valley.

Gerry is a fantastic real estate agent. He has impressive knowledge of both home construction and the Upper Valley market. He was helpful in explaining the value of homes we considered and understanding what that meant for future ownership. Gerry was also proactive through the entire closing process, making sure we had our ducks in a row and avoided contentious issues that otherwise might have cropped up during negotiations. Gerry was also very organized, professional, and clearly communicated between parties throughout the process. I have already recommended others to seek out Gerry for representation in real estate transactions. Finally he's hilarious and a pleasure to work with. Thank you Gerry!
